  4. Campaign calendar
  5. Descriptions everywhere

1 Tags, tags, and more tags

Tarvent allows you to use tags on anything form a contact to you most immaculate journey. Tags help you for organizing elements into common groupings in a sense. With tags you can make finding and navigating through your elements throughout Tarvent a lot easier. On list pages one of the main filters is tags, so creating a standard tagging convention can help you a lot. You can manage tags at the element level, or if you want to make a more global change, you can access the tags across the whole account be going to Main navigation > Account > Tags.

Pro Tip: Tagging is easiest if you start at the very beginning, but you can use tags whenever you like.

2 Using views to stay focused

Views can be used on every list page in the Tarvent application, they allow you to save all the filtering and even your search, so that you can simply select the view in the future to save time and not have to filter your results again. Views can also be renamed, updated, and copied. Renaming can be done by clicking manage view and selecting rename. Updating a view can simply be done by selecting the view you would like to update, making the necessary changes to your filters, then saving then clicking update in the manage view dropdown. Copying is even easier than updating, select the view you would like to copy, click save to new view in the manage view dropdown, and then give the view a unique name.

Pro Tip: Views should be used for repeated searches or filters to make finding elements faster.

3 Folder-based organization

Tarvent allows you to pick from the normal list view and the folder-based view in library, to view in the folder view select the folders icon near the top left of the library list page. The folder view is not only another way to view your library items, but it is how the library is organized. By default, we create the following folders, my articles, my files, and my content blocks since those are the three main items, FYI images are considered files. You can also create your own custom folders so you can organize your item how you want. To create a new folder simply right click on any folder and select new folder, then give it a unique name to describe the contents of the folder. Existing folders can also be renamed be right click on one then selecting rename.

4 Campaign calendar

The campaign calendar is an alternative view to the traditional campaign list page view, the calendar view allows you to see the campaigns status using the legend on the right, and when the campaign was created. If you click on a specific day and there were campaigns created on that day, you will see a list of campaigns on the right with high-level information, and a link to either edit, view, view report, etc. Filtering and search still apply to the calendar view. Also, to navigate through the calendar use the controls at the top left of the calendar.

5 Descriptions everywhere

Tarvent allows descriptions on almost any main element throughout the app, they can help if you have multiple people working in Tarvent to explain what an element is for. Or simply just use them for yourself so you don’t have to remember what each element is for. Descriptions are a simply yet great tool to keep things straight.
