How to add a code element

A code element lets you drop your own HTML straight into an email, for a layout the standard elements do not cover. Follow the steps below, or watch the walkthrough first.

Adding a code element

1. In the drag-and-drop editor, click the plus icon.
2. Drag the code element into your email content.
3. Once dropped, select the code element.
4. In the code settings on the right, insert your code.
5. Optionally, change the background of the code element.

The toolbar above the code box lets you add personalization, dynamic content, links, images and documents without writing the markup yourself.

Note: All JavaScript is stripped out, for security. Anything that depends on a script will not run, and in any case almost no email client would run it.

Tips

• Because the markup is yours, we cannot guarantee it looks right or stays responsive in every email client. The standard elements are tested across clients; custom code is not.
