Audience Forms 101

Walkthrough
Did you know?
Keep your questions to a minimum to entice visitors to answer all the questions. The more questions you have, the more intimidating it might be to your visitors since it will require more time to complete.
Linked embedded forms let you integrate forms into your site quickly while allowing real-time form design updates without modifying your website code.
Sign-up forms have multiple styles like modal, dialog, and floating bar. Use the style that best fits your website. If you need to change the display style, you must create a new form.
Unlinked embedded forms are entirely customizable, similar to an email. You can edit your form's HTML and CSS to match your branding. However, form changes in Tarvent will require you to update the HTML on your website.
If you want nothing more than the minimum HTML needed for the form to work, use the "Basic" version. These bare-bones versions give you only what you need and nothing you don't. Be warned, techie skills are required.
FAQs
Once I embed a form, will changes in Tarvent show up on my website?
Yes! As long as you use the "Linked embed" source we provide, any changes in Tarvent will displayed in real-time on your website. The "Unlinked embed" form code will not show changes as the code must be re-inserted into your website.
Can I have multiple sign-up forms?
Yes, you can create as many as you'd like.
Why do I need multiple forms of the same type in the audience?
You don't. However, suppose you have multiple landing pages or various branding needs specific to a form. In that case, you can create multiple forms of the same type that include unique branding, different questions, and more.
Is there a question limit?
The number of data fields dictates the number of questions you have since each question's answer is mapped to a data field.
Can I make a question required?
Yes! Each question will have a "required" option. Enable that to make the question required. All required questions must be answered before the form can be submitted.
