1 Overview

Less Annoying CRM Journey Trigger & Actions

After connecting Less Annoying CRM to Tarvent, you’ll have access to one trigger and several actions in the journey builder:

  1. Trigger: Pipeline item event
  2. Action: Add CRM pipeline item
  3. Action: Update CRM pipeline item
  4. Action: Add CRM task
  5. Action: Add CRM note

2 Trigger: Pipeline item event

Pipeline item event trigger

Use this trigger to listen for pipeline changes in Less Annoying CRM. To configure:

  1. Add the Pipeline item event trigger to your journey (under the Less Annoying CRM section).
  2. Select the pipeline to monitor.
  3. Select the event type (created, updated, or deleted).
    Note: To monitor multiple event types, you’ll need a separate trigger for each.
  4. Optional: Filter by item status so the trigger only fires on specific status.
  5. Optional: Add contact criteria. If the contact doesn’t meet the criteria, the event won’t trigger the journey.

3 Action: Add CRM Pipeline Item

Add Pipeline item action

Use this action to create a pipeline item for a contact in Less Annoying CRM:

  1. Add the Add CRM Pipeline Item action (from the Less Annoying CRM section).
  2. Select the pipeline where the item will be created.
  3. Choose the item status to assign at creation.
  4. Optional: Add a note to the item.
  5. Optional: Add contact criteria. If the contact doesn’t meet the criteria, this step will be skipped.

4 Action: Update CRM Pipeline Item

Update Pipeline item action

Use this action to update an existing pipeline item for a contact:

  1. Add the Update CRM Pipeline Item action.
  2. Select the pipeline containing the item.
  3. Choose the item status to update to.
  4. Optional: Add a note to the item.
  5. Optional: Define the scope:
    • First created item: Updates the oldest item assigned to the contact.
    • Last modified item: Updates the most recently modified item assigned to the contact.
    • All: Updates all items assigned to the contact.
    Configure these under additional settings....
  6. Optional: Add contact criteria. If the contact doesn’t meet the criteria, this step will be skipped.

5 Action: Add CRM Task

Add CRM task action

Use this action to create a task for a contact:

  1. Add the Add CRM Task action.
  2. Enter a Task name.
  3. Optional: Add a Task description.
  4. Optional: Set a due date. Defaults to the current date/time if blank.
  5. Optional: Select a calendar. Defaults to the default calendar if left blank. Configure via additional settings....
  6. Optional: Assign the task to a user. This setting requires the user ID found in Less Annoying CRM Defaults to the integration user if blank. Here are the steps to find the user ID in Less Annoying CRM:
    1. Login to your Less Annoying CRM account
    2. Click on Settings
    3. Go to the Programmer API page
    4. Find the User IDs section
    5. Copy the ID for the user you'd like to assign the task to.
    Note: If you don't see the User IDs section, find the text If you need to see a list of IDs for your account to use when writing code for the API, click here. and click the link.
  7. Optional: Add contact criteria. If the contact doesn’t meet the criteria, this step will be skipped.

6 Action: Add CRM Note

Use this action to add a note for a contact:

  1. Add the Add CRM Note action.
  2. Enter the note content.
  3. Optional: Set a note date. Defaults to now if blank. Configure in additional settings....
  4. Optional: Add contact criteria. If the contact doesn’t meet the criteria, this step will be skipped.

7 Troubleshooting

Common Issues

  • Trigger or actions not showing in the journey: Confirm your Less Annoying CRM integration is active under Account > Integrations.
  • Pipelines not appearing: Confirm the integration is active and connected.

8 FAQs

I have an active integration, but I don’t see the trigger or actions. Why?
The journey must be tied to the same audience as your Less Annoying CRM integration. If the audiences don’t match, the trigger and actions won’t be available.
Can I listen to multiple event types in one Pipeline item trigger?
No, each trigger supports one event type. To track multiple types, add a separate trigger for each.
Why can’t I start my journey?
Journeys won’t start if steps are incomplete. Review each step—any unconfigured step will show an exclamation mark in the top-right.
