Learn the layout of the Journey editor and where to find the controls you will use most while building and managing a journey.

1 Overview
Center map
The journey map is the visual canvas where triggers, steps, and flow logic are connected.
Left panel
The left panel includes Add, Edit map, Smart stops, Goals & conversions, Settings, and Reports.
Right-side editor
Click any journey item to open its settings on the right. Many editors use common sections like Name, Settings, and Apply to which contacts.
Note: Journeys use the selected audience for contact data, criteria, and related fields.
2 Main areas of the editor
The Journey editor includes:
- The center journey map
- The left panel tools

- Add for triggers, steps, and flow items
- Edit map to adjust the map layout
- Smart stops for global exit logic
- Goals & conversions for tracking and logic
- Settings for journey-level rules

4 Right-side editors
Click any item in the journey map to open its editor on the right. Common sections include Name, Settings, and Apply to which contacts.

- Use clear names for triggers and steps
- Test with a small internal segment first
- Review the full map before starting
