What this step does
The Send notification email step sends an internal or external notification email when a contact reaches the step.

Common settings you will see

2 How to configure this step

Here are the steps:

  1. Open the journey, and add or click the Send notification email step.
  2. Select internal Recipients, and add External recipients if needed.
  3. Use Edit message to customize the notification content.
  4. Set Apply to which contacts if you only want notifications for certain contacts, and click Save.
Use contact criteria so internal teams only receive notifications for high-value or exception contacts.

  • Sales alerts: Notify a salesperson when a contact reaches a high-intent stage.
  • Support handoff: Notify a support or success team member when a contact completes onboarding.
