The Remove group step removes a contact from one or more groups when the contact reaches the step.

Here are the steps:
- Open the journey, and add or click the Remove group step.
- Select the group or groups to remove the contact from.
- Set Apply to which contacts if needed, and click Save.

- For each group that the contact is removed from, an event is triggered that journeys can listen to.
- If the contact is not in the group, no event will be generated.
