What this step does
The Remove group step removes a contact from one or more groups when the contact reaches the step.

Here are the steps:

  1. Open the journey, and add or click the Remove group step.
  2. Select the group or groups to remove the contact from.
  3. Set Apply to which contacts if needed, and click Save.

  • Stage movement: Remove contacts from an earlier-stage group when they advance.

  • For each group that the contact is removed from, an event is triggered that journeys can listen to.
  • If the contact is not in the group, no event will be generated.
