1 Concepts

Current map view
The Flow report overlays counts on the current journey map.

Most popular path
The green path highlights the most popular path through the journey.

Cumulative reporting
Flow counts accumulate until the journey is reset.

2 Flow report and step stats

Map changes affect interpretation
If you add, delete, or move steps, historical counts are still shown on the current map. Depending on the changes, the numbers may not line up exactly the way you expect.

Step stats
Step cards can show these counts:

  • Entry: Number of contacts that started the journey because of the trigger.
  • Done: Number of contacts that performed the step.
  • Skip: Number of contacts that skipped the step and moved to the next step.
  • Wait: Number of contacts currently on that step.

3 Reset, stop, and start behavior

First start
If a journey has never been started, Flow reporting begins when it is started the first time.

Stop and start
If you stop a journey and start it again, Flow counts continue to compound.

Reset
Reset starts Flow reporting over for that journey.

Other report tabs
Overview, Contacts, Messaging, Triggers, and Smart stops still use the selected date range.

4 Best practices

  • If Flow reporting matters, avoid major map changes on a running journey.
  • For major changes, duplicate the journey, update the copy, stop the old journey, and start the new journey.
  • Use clear step names so the Flow map is easier to read.
  • Check the date range before reviewing the non-Flow report tabs.

5 FAQ

Why are Flow counts still high after restarting the journey?

Stopping and starting does not reset Flow counts. Use Reset if you want Flow reporting to start over.

Does reset clear my journey setup?

No. Reset affects reporting counts. It does not rewrite your journey map.

Why did the green path change?

The green path is based on the current cumulative Flow counts, so it can change as more contacts move through the journey.

6 Need help?
